This is a super cool English alphabet pack which looks like some carpenter made it from real wood sticks and screws. On high resolution large size images, such as billboards, posters (and even web designs) give out results that are Wowing!!
I have just started freelance designing. I upload my designs on online market places and earn from it. Yesterday I was designing this Wood Alphabet Pack, the same effect for which I created a tutorial on Designzzz. Although I created this design but how can I forget you guys, the people who enabled me to dream of earning more than I ever did, so here’s what we have decided; whenever I design a premium resource pack to sell, I’ll make a free giveaway on Designzzz. Today is the first of those giveaways.
Usually when we choose 2-3 winners in a giveaway when we are partnering with a third-party, but today, since Designzzz is the sole sponsor of this giveaway, we’ll choose 10 Winners.
Update: Today is the winner announcement day but comments are just starting to flow in, maybe it has something to do with holiday season, anyways we have postponed the winner announcement date so you can post your comments. The results will be announced on 12 December.
We are considering a redesigning of Designzzz, for that I’ve been visiting lots of lots of blogs lately for design inspiration. So I thought let’s make a post and give you the same inspiration I am in quest of. So here I am with 30 excellently designed blogs. My criteria were simple, either the blog is designed creatively or the blog is complimenting the homepage superbly.
On Friday, when I couldn’t complete my scheduled post due to illness, I’d have thanked Tayyab but I won’t, for the obvious reason. I think he hears this headache thing so much that whenever somebody gives out this excuse, he believes it is a lie. And of course, since he filled in for me, today he is taking a day off and I’m filling in for him. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, please have a look at the description text of: Essential Online Tools for Testing Your Websites
There are many a times when a designer feels that he should avoid the nagging clients and all the business dealing, he wonders if there could a be a place where he can just go, present his designs and get paid. Such places do exist. There are two types of these places, Contest Based and Sale Based.
In the Contest Based places you present your design and compete with several other designers, then one design gets chosen and paid [heavily]. In the Sale Based, you just put your design on the market place and earn on each sale.
Today we’ll cover both of these kinds of sites. This post is for specifically created for designers so developers/coders/font makers might not get much out of it. The images I selected for the first part of the article are to give you an idea of what kind of designs are likely to be sold in large quantity on that particular site.
Way back in 2010 I made a collection of hilarious outdoor ads. That was my first big hit on Designzzz. After a few months I had to make another collection of clever ads on public demand. After that, I thought it’s enough, no more ads, but just a few days ago I bumped into my own first big hit. Nostalgia struck me and immediately I decided to make another funny outdoor ads collection.
The most important thing that makes a new product successful is the marketing. In marketing, designers play a major role. Creating a design concept that invokes the public is a tough job, executing the idea and making it a reality is an even harder one, not to mention adding a dash of humor and fun in it, that’s almost a design miracle. Some designers have produced this miracle. Have a look.
We are proud to present our second info-graphic. We are grateful to all of our visitors and contributors, without them our first photography info-graphic would never have been such a success.
This post is the first of infographics series “Did You Know”. Today we will cover the topic of Graphic Design and tell you many interesting bits and bytes from the world of graphic design. Such info is a lot of fun to just know about even if you are not a professional of this industry. And if you are a designer and you don’t know these things, it’s a sin!!
Usually on Mondays, your friend Waseem makes a Photoshop tutorial but this week he took an unscheduled leave, so I made this collection of latest oven hot tutorials.
Since the criterion for selection was not a specific topic, it’s a cocktail of photo effects, photo manipulation and design tutorials. Most of the tutorials are easy and quick but some are for the advanced pros. It is a must check post if you want to stay updated with the latest in design industry.
It’s Friday so it’s time for some web design. Today I have another web template tutorial for you. We will be making a Fashion and Lifestyle web template.
The idea of this design is to provide you with an inspiration for using brushes in web design. This website design is specifically helpful if you are creating a layout for a garments outlet, fashion and lifestyle store, beauty parlour or anything related, but I designed this web template for a boutique. Its colors, layout, grid and patterns are designed to match the theme of a boutique. You can customize it according to your needs.
This is the tutorial and Designzzz will publish its PSD template next week. You can stay updated with the latest postings on Designzzz by Subscribing to our RSS or Following us on Twitter.
I remember my first design article published on Designzzz. A typography tutorial it was and I bagged much praise for that. Today when I decided to make another typography tutorial with some hardcore designing techniques.
The previous tutorial was for creating a funky groovy kind of a design, this is the opposite. Here, you’ll learn how to create a tough ‘broken hard stone’ effect on text. This kind of design looks great on men’s products or anything where strength is required to be shown in design.
I think I should focus more on design tutorials, what do you think?
We publish many inspiration posts for photographers and designers but for some time, we have not been able to do the same for web designers. Things changed now and here’s a cool showcase of websites with large-sized headers. Header is the part of the website which contains navigation bar, logo, slogan and possibly a slideshow.
Theoretically a website should not have a large header, because header pushes the content of the website down under. But then again, design is an art and you are encouraged to break the rules, so some web designers did that and generated marvelous results. You should also try this sometime.
Note: Large headers can look good on Portfolios and even corporate sites but never use them on web portals, their content is more important than the design.
