How to Create a Shiny Metallic Typography

AD

This is a tutorial to create a simple shiny metallic typography effect we usually see on hoardings and print advertisements published on art glazed paper.

This is a routine effect which I have stylized and created a modernistic style of typography. Designers can use it with almost anything which has a dark background, it doesn’t work on light backgrounds. Enjoy!

screenshots are very confusing. first there’s no noise shown when there should be then no text effect shown in the later parts… i dont think waseem made this tutorial.

yes Jonah, I know, this isn’t my best tutorial but I think I did a better job this monday at Create a Mythical Fantasy Female Photo Manipulation

Really…I thought it looked good so I decided to try. Even after there’s no color codes, I still tried and tried but I can’t even finish the tutorial because some steps are just impossible. I can’t even choose “Modify” and I thought I did something wrong. I checked and rechecked and still nothing wrong. A waste of time. You should either correct it or take it down.

      Hello Ez,

I’m so sorry you had trouble following the tutorial. And I agree that it’s too much gray in here, and it’s not one of my best works either. But still, if you can’t get “Modify” to work, I’m guessing you are at a beginner level and shouldn’t try on intermediate level tutorials. Let me recommend a few tutorials for you.
