HTML5 ushers in a new set of features and options for how we build websites and sooner than later it will have the full support of most browsers in use today. While XHTML will stick around for a long time, there is no avoiding the fact that you will have to update your WordPress theme eventually. With the help of JavaScript, HTML5 is safe to use for all modern browsers down to IE6. I should mention that if it is important to you to support users who may have JavaScript disabled (1.5% of total internet users), you may want to wait a while before making this change. However, there are a few tricks you can use to satisfy that 1.5% that I will cover at the end of this article.
Designers need fonts of my kinds. Until now I have been presenting free fonts for creating eye-catchy billboard type designs but today I have something different for you. This is a collection of fonts for logos and headings.
These fonts are not too decorated, they are clean, elegant and yet stylish fonts to add the finishing touch a design always requires. I personally think these are extremely useful for print media professionals but if you are designer of any kind, you should have a look. And as ever, you can download all of them in a single download pack.
HTML5 is latest and biggest phenomenon on the web. Everybody wants a piece of it and everyone is discussing it. So we have started a series of HTML5 related articles and resources and you’ll be seeing them being published on every Wednesday.
As you know, HTML is the basic language of world wide web and HTML5 is its latest edition. It is changing the way we work in web design and many of our coding techniques. As you might already know that it is being considered as the Flash assassin. It’s true that many web browsers still do not support HTML5 properly so for routine kind of web designing it may not be the best solution just yet, but since this is the future of web, we must get a strong grip over it.

They say every cloud has a silver-lining. Well, most of them do but is it just the silver lining that motivates us? They bestow their nectar on the thirsty leaves on Earth. That’s how they tell that it is important to do some good even if you don’t survive. What can you not like in them, the soothing fresh air they bring or romantic environment they create? But they are not always the nice guys, sometimes when we misbehave with Mother Nature, clouds get angry and turn themselves into storms. How beautiful Sunshine looks after a rain. If it wasn’t for clouds, no one would respect Sun.
Today have a mega collection of photographs for your inspiration. I hope you’ll like it. I think this is my best (and biggest) collection so far.
Last week I made an advanced kind of DJ Image Manip and somebody challenged me that a great designer is not the one who can create designs using advanced tools such as displace (the main effect covered in that tutorial) but he is somebody who creates superb designs using simple commands and techniques. Challenge Accepted!!
This is a tutorial just like my earlier typography tutorial but this time I wouldn’t be using any tricks or deep hidden commands. It’s mainly just the idea and of the design that makes it eye-catching. I’ll tell you how to convert your idea into reality using the very simple methods.
They say never judge a book by its title, but we do that, don’t we? Haven’t you ever bought a product just because its advert was nice…. I’m sure you have. There are many things running in the market just because of their marketing. In fact, young college students also spread fake information about themselves to be popular – that’s also marketing.
I know many IT specialists who are great at what they do but they just can’t market their product properly. Today I’m not going into all the subjects about marketing, I’ll rather focus on presenting your sample designs, the prototype designs you show to your clients which (we think) are almost destined to be rejected, we will try to change their destiny today. Learn how to present your designs in a way that the clients should drool over it.
A few weeks ago we published a free PSD web template for a corporate website. A design with classy elegant look, suitable for any business or corporate website. We also had published its tutorial a week earlier. Today I’ll describe how to convert that PSD file into an HTML CSS working website.
This is my first PSD to HTML tutorial, hopefully you’ll like it. I’ll greatly appreciate if your comments and suggestions for my guidance.
Which is the form of art you don’t understand, Abstract, right! Well we are not talking about art today, it’s Thursday so we are sharing a design resource. Today I selected Abstract Brushes for Photoshop.
These brushes are very useful not just for creating art pieces or digital paintings, in fact they are rather handy in creating high-quality graphic design. These brushes have helped me create backgrounds, border styles, special effects, the list goes on and on. The trick is to use them where no one is expecting. Just add these brushes in your Photoshop and experiment a little, you’ll soon realize how and where you can use them.
