What I made today, I have no idea… is it a photo manipulation? Is it a photo effect? Is it a new form of designing I have created??? You see and decide yourself.
Our editor, Tayyab was against this design, he said gray image over gray background might not seem much appealing, but as ever, I didn’t listen to him and did what I had to do.

First of all, open the background, and then make 3 circles with ellipse tools. Fill these circles with the following colors and 50% opacity.
Now I just placed our model here.
Removing Excessive Parts
I’m making a path around our model. I’m doing this with pen tool. The path might not be clear in this screenshot, but it clears in the next one, so carry on.
Once you are done with the path, hit CTRL+ENTER. The path should now be converted into a marquee selection. At this point our model is selected but we are doing this exercise to remove the excessive parts, so what you should do here is strike CTRL+SHIFT+I, this command inverses the selection. Now only the excessive parts from the girl’s image are selected. Just press delete. Don’t forget, when you press the dangerous delete button, only the layer containing our model should be selected, nothing else.
Take a new layer, select a soft brush and make the strokes shown in the screenshot, using the colors shown in the screenshot. Then change this layer’s blend mode to overlay.
Do you remember the mechanical arm from Terminator2? I love that movie.. creating an arm effect will require a complete image manipulation. We are not doing that right now.
Now we’re giving the arm a vector look, so back to Pen Tool. Make a path on the area of the arm shown below, and strike CTRL+ENTER to convert it into a selection.
Fill it using plain White color.
And a minor 1px stroke of solid black color.
Once the arm is complete, just place the mechanical hand.
3D Clip Art
I had this 3-D Rendering which I used earlier in my tutorials, I just pasted it here as well. It is completely up to you how to place it, how to scale it and at what angle.
A Rainy Day
Since we’re making a thing that makes no sense, why not add something else, which also doesn’t make sense. I added a PNG image of a cloud.
Then I selected rain brush, and pressed F5 Key. Remember, this dialogue box will only appear if Brush Tool is selected.
Now just make a couple of strokes using solid black color.
Here I’m adding splatters by using splatter brushes.
And some dripping splatters on the bottom. Opacity should be 20%.
I added a custom shape Triangle Frame. I made this using Custom Shapes Tool. Once our shape is made, strike CTRL+ENTER, this makes it a marquee selection, keeping this marquee alive, select model’s layer and hit CTRL+C. Now paste the data on a new layer.
I made two triangles, one overlapping the other. Then I grabbed Eraser Tool and erased the overlapping part from one side, left the other side. This makes the triangles look as if they are intersected.
Here I typed “Creativity”, duplicated the text layer and moved it just a little bit to make it look like a shadow.
