Law firm logos are required by individual lawyers and corporate scale law firms. This type of logos are maybe the most important kind of logo designing because nothing can be more important that anything related to law – you need to make it look good.
A law firm requires its logo to symbolize knowledge, confidence, and success. All these traits are for the designer to depict in the logo.
If you are a designer, law firm logos can not only earn you a reasonable amount of money but a law firm is a very strong recommendation source. Of course, links with a law firm also come handy.
Black and White Law Firm Logos
Since law firms work a lot with printed material. Everything in law firms is in paper, hard copy. So they need logos that are printed finely on laser printouts.
Black and white, or in technical terms, gray-scale law firm logos are printed perfectly using laser printers.
On some of these logos, you might see colored background but the logo design is always in gray-scale. So please don’t be confused with the background.

Colored Law Firm Logos
The following logos contain colors in the design. Therefore, they are not printed exactly the same when you get them out from a laser printer or a xerox machine.
I suggest that if you do create a colored logo, try to restrict yourself to a line-art logo using flat colors. Don’t use any gradients or shadows. That is because that gradients and shadows are not xeroxed properly.

The field of law has many dimensions. Mostly, all lawyers or law firms have their specialties and areas of interest. Depending on those areas of interest, all law firms have specific audience, and you, the designer has to create a logo that attracts that specific audience.
If you are designing a law firm logo for a company that works in medical insurance, and you design a court-hammer logo… that would be inappropriate. You need to design according to the plan.
Keep the client’s needs in mind. Ask yourself what is the message that the client wants to convey through the logo.
If you keep the message in mind while designing a logo, I’m sure that you will get high approval rate from the clients as well as good money and recommendation.
